About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or hospitality environment, preferably in a housekeeping or custodial role.
  • Experience with cleaning and sanitation procedures in a medical setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the use of cleaning equipment and supplies in a professional setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specific cleaning protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety and hygiene standards, particularly in a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly, following all safety guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Collect and dispose of waste, including hazardous materials, in accordance with hospital policies and environmental regulations.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, hand sanitizers, and paper products in designated areas.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure cleaning schedules do not interfere with patient care and hospital operations.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Follow infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the hospital environment.
  • Participate in training sessions and stay updated on best practices in environmental services and hospital cleaning protocols.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or requests from patients, staff, or visitors regarding cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to the hospital's code of conduct and ethical standards at all times.
