As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. This role involves interaction with patients, visitors, and staff, and ensuring timely room turnovers with a focus on infection prevention. You will be an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention, and patient experience.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and aesthetically pleasing environment in a healthcare setting.
- Completing daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and other common areas.
- Demonstrating a working knowledge of health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements.
- Displaying safe chemical use and equipment handling.
- Maintaining cleaning cart(s), supplies, and equipment.
- Removing waste and transporting it to the appropriate disposal area, identifying proper waste stream handling (regulated medical, recycle, solid, and hazardous).
- Following all infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
