About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Environmental team in the Salt Lake City, Utah region. This role offers an opportunity to grow a career in environmental consulting within Intertek's Building and Construction division, which includes Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI), a major provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection services. The Senior Project Manager will oversee environmental projects in the Salt Lake City Region and is expected to travel 25-50% of the time.

Requirements

  • BS in related field such as Engineering, Geology or Environmental Sciences is required
  • 10+ years of environmental consulting industry related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Utah environmental regulations, site conditions, and regional industry practices
  • Must be able to perform tasks in varying field/office conditions
  • Must be able to operate most field/office equipment and software relating to one’s discipline
  • Strong technical proposal and report writing abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Environment including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Teams and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required

  • Professional Registration, PE, PG, and/or CIH
  • Established presence or client network in the Salt Lake City market
  • Past performance in completing projects according to Utah Department of Environmental Quality (UDEQ) programs (e.g., EWA, VCP, PST, etc.)
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER

Responsibilities

  • Managing Environmental Projects including but not limited to: Environmental Site Assessments - Phase I/II
  • Enforceable Written Assurance (EWA) reporting
  • Remedial Action Plans (RAPs) and Remedial Action Completion Reporting under Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP)
  • Petroleum Storage Tank (PST) Program
  • Asbestos, Lead Paint, IAQ & Industrial Hygiene Testing and Consulting
  • Prepare technical proposals and reports
  • Communicate with clients and regulators to keep projects moving and on schedule
  • Self-manage and make decisions during all phases of a project
  • Manage and control project budgets and build solid relationships with clients
