About The Position

This role involves conducting environmental studies and investigations, such as environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II), wetland delineations, and threatened and endangered species habitat assessments and surveys. The position requires assisting with multiple project tasks and projects for both private and public clients across various sectors. Responsibilities include reviewing environmental data, reports, and permits for regulatory compliance, advising clients, and assisting with permit coordination and acquisition. The role offers a balanced mix of field and office work and requires communicating scientific, technical, and regulatory information to the project team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, biology, ecology, rangeland science, wildlife management, or related field.
  • 0-3 years field experience.
  • Organizational and business-technical writing skills.
  • Effective time-management, written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional attitude and good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams, both internal and external.
  • Proficient with MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel), Adobe.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct fieldwork as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting environmental studies and investigations, e.g. environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II), wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments and surveys.
  • Assisting multiple project tasks or projects across simultaneous assignments for both private and public clients across multiple sectors.
  • Reviewing environmental data, reports, permits, and related materials for compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and advising clients accordingly.
  • Assisting clients with permit coordination, acquisition, compliance, and coordination with regulatory agencies.
  • Communicating scientific, technical, and regulatory information and guidance to the project team.
