Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or closely related field
• Knowledge of wetland delineation, field investigation techniques, and agency coordination requirements
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• MS Office experience
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
• Field work experience
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in remote outdoor settings in Alaska under a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to work cooperatively with professionals from other disciplines, clients, project managers, business development professionals, and operational leadership

Nice To Haves

• 2 to 5 years environmental permitting and/or compliance experience in Alaska
• Experience with field sampling, monitoring, solid waste/landfill, and air quality
• Preference given to local candidates

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work: groundwater sampling, surface water sampling, and landfill gas monitoring and sampling.
• Support solid waste permit applications, including writing and reviewing technical work products (environmental documents and technical studies).
• Work with project managers, clients, and subject matter experts for permitting needs.
• Provide environmental compliance support for Alaska solid waste projects.
• Be assigned to projects in other market sectors in and outside of Alaska.
• Demonstrate a commitment to exemplary quality standards for professional practice and deliverables.
• Work safely and efficiently in remote outdoor settings in Alaska under a variety of weather conditions.
• Work cooperatively with professionals from other disciplines, clients, project managers, business development professionals, and operational leadership.
