Requirements

  • Advanced degree with background in toxicology; Ph.D. preferred
  • Up to 2 years of relevant professional work experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Programming skills in R and/or Python preferred
  • Interest in leveraging automated workflows and data science tools
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and probabilistic analysis applied to toxicology
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Ability/willingness to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using mapping software such as ESRI ArcGIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support projects in the fields of toxicology, ecology, human health and ecological risk assessment, public health, hydrogeology, and water resources.
  • Perform technical analyses and assist in the preparation of high-quality technical presentations, reports, letters, plans, and proposals with the guidance of a supervisor and project technical leads (PTLs).
  • Assist in preparation of workplans and sampling and analysis plans for site investigations used to inform risk assessment, remediation options, regulatory compliance, litigation matters, and research projects.
  • Assist in the management, analysis, and interpretation of environmental data using statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Perform data compilation, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, QA/QC, and computer modeling.
  • Independently perform research tasks with input from technical experts.
  • Participate in proposal development, project management and business development activities.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere through collaboration with technical experts, project managers, colleagues, and subcontractors.
