By joining the Division for Air Quality, Program Planning & Administration Branch, Emissions Inventory Section as an Environmental Scientist III in Franklin County, you will have the opportunity to work on air emissions and permits for Kentucky sources.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a natural, biological or physical science OR Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 20 semester hours in a natural, biological, or physical science.
  • Three years of experience in natural resources, environmental control, or a related area.
  • Experience in calculating air emissions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create agency interests for facilities.
  • Review permitting data for compliance with emissions.
  • Work with US Environmental Protection Agency on national emissions data inventory.
  • Review and approve emissions inventory in the KY Emissions Inventory System (EIS).
