About The Position
Entry-level technical support performing field, sampling, and recordkeeping tasks under direct supervision across environmental media areas.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- High School or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, or a related field
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA PIV badge.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER
- hazardous waste (DOT/RCRA) awareness training.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections (satellite accumulation areas, central accumulation areas, POL/tank areas) and record findings.
- Support hazardous waste labeling, accumulation, manifesting, and scheduled waste pickups.
- Perform field sampling (water, stormwater) and collect data for reports.
- Enter compliance data into government systems of record (e.g., waste/hazmat management and inventory systems).
- Assist with supply and PPE inventory, spill-kit stocking, and general field support.
