About The Position

Kleinfelder's Environmental team is looking for an Environmental Scientist / Geologist to join their New England group in Boston or Worcester. This role involves participating in environmental assessment and remediation projects, planning and leading field activities, overseeing subcontractors, authoring technical reports, training junior staff, ensuring quality, and evaluating data for regulatory closure. The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and adherence to regulations and client requirements. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-conscious, and possesses strong communication skills. This is a hybrid position.

Requirements

4-8 years of work on environmental assessment and remediation projects.
Experience conducting environmental field investigations and data collection/sampling.
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Willingness to travel outside of New England up to 20% of the time.

Nice To Haves

Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work independently, as well as, in a team environment with a positive professional attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organization and multi-tasking skills.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER

Responsibilities

Leads staff professionals and conducts field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support with minimal oversight.
Coordinates technical aspects of small to moderate size projects.
Provides training for entry level technicians and staff professionals.
