About The Position

Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join their team in East Windsor, NJ. This position involves both field and office work, with an estimated 50% to 75% of the time spent in the field. The role offers opportunities for mentorship and professional growth within a dedicated team. As part of the Resilience Environment team, the successful candidate will contribute to improving quality of life by assisting in environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks. The role emphasizes health and safety during fieldwork and requires regional business travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, or closely related field (i.e., environmental science, physical science)
  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
  • Overseeing drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation.
  • Conducting groundwater sampling.
  • Subcontractor oversight.
  • Operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
  • Performing vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys.
  • Preparing subcontracts and overseeing the work of subcontractors.
  • Writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
  • Task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file reviews, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and establishment of subcontracts.
  • Conducting field work including soil, groundwater, and/or vapor sampling in the field.
  • Preparing scope of work.
