About The Position

Earth Systems / EnviroTrac is seeking an Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer with 2-6 years of environmental consulting experience to join their growing Bismarck, North Dakota team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • 2-6 years of environmental consulting experience
  • Experience with environmental field investigations and sampling
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Experience interpreting environmental data
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel throughout North Dakota and surrounding states as project needs require

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with FUSRAP, CERCLA, RCRA, Brownfields, UST, or remediation projects
  • Experience coordinating drilling subcontractors
  • GIS, AutoCAD, or environmental data management experience
  • EIT, GIT, or progress toward PG or PE licensure
  • Experience preparing regulatory reports and permit applications

Responsibilities

  • Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
  • Conduct soil, groundwater, vapor, and surface water investigations
  • Oversee monitoring well installations and soil borings
  • Collect environmental samples in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Support remediation and corrective action projects
  • Perform field screening and environmental monitoring
  • Prepare technical reports, figures, tables, and data summaries
  • Interpret laboratory data and environmental conditions
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Coordinate subcontractors including drilling contractors and laboratories
  • Prepare permit applications and regulatory documentation
  • Maintain accurate field notes and documentation
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Assist Project Managers with project execution
  • Support proposal preparation and scope development
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Mentor junior staff during field activities
  • Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture
  • Conduct daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
  • Follow OSHA and company Health & Safety procedures
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority whenever unsafe conditions exist
