The Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Coordinator I is an early-career role supporting and maintaining all environmental, health, and safety programs within an on-demand manufacturing environment. Working directly on the production floor alongside the Plant Manager, the Coordinator helps ensure compliance with OSHA and state regulations, reduce workplace hazards, and promote a proactive, safety-first culture. This position partners with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership to drive continuous improvement in workplace safety. This role is onsite five days a week at our Grand Prairie, TX production facility and is not currently eligible for work sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or related field — or equivalent manufacturing EH&S experience.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, machine guarding, LOTO, and hazard communication.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work on the manufacturing floor and interact with employees at all levels

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of EH&S coordinator or safety coordinator experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience with industrial ergonomics, machine guarding, and contractor safety.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Coordinate inspections, audits, and regulatory visits as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Train employees on machine safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, hazard communication, and emergency response
  • Conduct regular production floor inspections, job safety analyses (JSAs), and risk assessments
  • Support compliance with OSHA and state regulatory requirements for manufacturing operations, including timely submission of required OSHA and other regulatory reports
  • Respond to workplace incidents and near misses on the manufacturing floor
  • Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective action tracking and documentation, operator training, and case close-out
  • Lead and document annual hearing and auditory testing
  • Drive daily PPE compliance across the floor
  • Maintain EH&S documentation, permits, logs, and records (OSHA 300/301, SDS, training records).
  • Support safety committees and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives
  • Promote safety awareness through toolbox talks, signage, and continuous communication
  • Collaborate with and support other sites across the company to ensure consistency across the organization
