About The Position

Serve as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance issues affecting government facilities. Perform analysis on the drafting of policy statements, standard operating procedures, fact sheets, newsletter articles, and other communications regarding current and future environmental regulations affecting the government. Develop and review environmental compliance and management plans. Provide technical environmental regulatory assistance and guidance to facilitate environmental compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct environmental compliance inspections, audits, and evaluations as directed by the government to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Update and monitor environmental regulatory permits held by the government and develop and conduct environmental compliance training for government employees and contractors. Review NEPA documentation and provide facilities' project managers advice on NEPA applicability. Provide direct project management for surge initiatives and stewardship activities.

Requirements

  • Experience with NEPA analysis
  • Ability to manage competing requirements
  • Ability to coordinate administrative tasks
  • Ability to come up with creative and innovative solutions
  • Ability to provide schedule management and development for long-term projects
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience with environmental compliance and environmental planning, or 5+ years of experience with environmental compliance and environmental planning in lieu of a degree

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology
  • Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
