Requirements

  • One year of professional experience as a Sanitarian, Air Quality Specialist, Solid Waste Specialist, or Water Quality Specialist (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Research case files and prepare documentation to support enforcement actions
  • Conduct inspections, investigations, and surveys at storage tank facilities
  • Provide guidance to facility owners, agencies, and the public on storage tank requirements
  • Prepare violation notices, orders, and penalty assessments for compliance cases
  • Participate in enforcement meetings and discuss cases with legal staff and program managers
  • Review legislation, policies, and guidance related to storage tank compliance programs
