About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Environmental Project Scientist to join their Environmental team in Indianapolis, IN. This role offers a career in environmental consulting within Intertek's Building and Construction division, which provides assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting services to the architecture, engineering, and construction disciplines. Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI), a part of Intertek, is a US-based provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection services, including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.

Requirements

BS Degree in Environmental Management
5+ years of previous experience in environmental site assessments, asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold assessments, Industrial Hygiene, and Wetlands
State of Indiana Asbestos, Lead or Mold Certifications
40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training
Knowledge of IH and practical environmental concepts, principles, and practices
Proficiency with specific instrumentation related to sampling
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record

Responsibilities

Conduct Asbestos Inspections / Abatement Observations / Post Abatement Assessments
Perform Lead Surveys / XRF Sampling / Post Abatement Sampling
Investigate Mold / Conduct Air Sampling / IAQ Studies
Provide Due Diligence Project Support / ESA Research
Perform Field Documentation / Report Preparation
Coordinate Project Data / Records / Reports related to work assignments
Participate in all QA/QC programs and Safety Programs
Conduct Field Work to Assess Contaminated Soil and Groundwater
Manage client interactions and maintain updated data
Coordinate third-party equipment, subcontract, and power company vendors
