About The Position

AEC is seeking an Environmental Project Manager / Estimator to manage complex environmental construction projects, including contaminated site remediation, fuel systems, demolition, and technically demanding civil work. This role is for individuals who want ownership, accountability, and the opportunity for rapid growth in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. • Experience managing environmental or heavy civil construction projects
  • Solid grasp of risk, cost control, and project execution strategy
  • Ability to lead teams and drive results in the field and office
  • Clear, professional communication with clients and stakeholders
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
  • 10+ years in construction (environmental or heavy civil preferred)
  • 5+ years in project management or supervisory role
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and applicable regulations

Nice To Haves

  • PMP is a plus
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER (current refresher)
  • OSHA 30
  • Confined Space Entry
  • CPR / First Aid

Responsibilities

  • Full lifecycle management of environmental construction projects - from bid to closeout
  • Estimating, including quantity takeoffs, pricing, and subcontractor coordination
  • Project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Financial performance (budget, cost tracking, forecasting, billing)
  • Contract execution and compliance
  • Coordination between field crews, clients, and internal teams
  • Procurement of materials and subcontractors
  • Project documentation, safety oversight, and reporting
  • Client relationships and communication with owners, engineers, and regulators

Benefits

  • Exposure to complex, technically challenging projects
  • Real opportunity for advancement - based on performance, not tenure
  • Leadership that expects results and supports people who deliver
