Tradewater is seeking an Environmental Project Manager (Engineering) to support its growth in plugging orphaned oil and gas wells and fight climate change. This role is key to the success of their methane work, focusing on preventing the emission of harmful greenhouse gases. The position involves developing a pipeline of projects to identify and prevent these emissions. The role is hands-on, requiring regular field work with orphaned oil and gas wells, including managing the finding and quantification of wells and overseeing plugging efforts. When not in the field, the role involves collaborating with the pipeline development team, coordinating field trips, data analysis, and providing information for carbon credit verification. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in oil and gas, field experience working on wells, and familiarity with carbon project development. This position is largely remote and open to candidates in the continental U.S. or Canada, with approximately 30-50% travel expected. Applicants must live close to a major airport.
