About The Position

Our Atlanta, Georgia office is looking for a strong communicator who can perform environmental fieldwork, train junior staff, and provide health/safety/quality leadership. This role is ideal for professionals seeking to expand their responsibilities in project execution, technical reporting, and mentoring junior staff. As an Environmental Project Engineer or Geologist, you will play a key role in leading and supporting environmental due diligence, compliance, and site investigation/remediation projects through a blend of fieldwork and office-based tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional environmental engineering or geology experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license
  • Strong team collaboration, communication, and leadership skills
  • Willing and able to perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment, such as: Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions
  • Willing and able to travel out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary
  • Willing and able to work outside of normal business hours when necessary
  • Candidates must comply with our Fleet Management, Substance Policy, and Reference Check requirements.
  • Only candidates with valid employment eligibility (I-9) will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a related field, a plus
  • 40-Hr HAZWOPER training, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct soil and groundwater investigations, monitoring well installations, stormwater sampling, and environmental site assessments.
  • Perform fieldwork, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain compliance with project quality, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.
  • Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports, regulatory documents, work plans, and health and safety plans.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, proposal development, and successful project execution.
  • Communicate with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders to support project delivery and business development efforts.
  • Train junior staff.
  • Provide health/safety/quality leadership.
