About The Position

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Project/Client Manager for our Nashville, TN office. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional environmental consulting experience with strong knowledge of state (Tennessee-specific) and federal environmental regulations.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (current).
  • Demonstrated experience with conducting/managing multi-media environmental sampling (soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas), environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II), state cleanup programs, remedial investigations, and corrective action activities.
  • Strong technical writing skills with experience producing high-quality reports and regulatory submittals.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, including budgets, schedules, and client communications.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams and manage client expectations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Close attention to detail with commitment to quality.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Geologist or Professional Engineering license(s)/registration(s).
  • Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and mentor junior staff.
  • 10+ years of related project management, financial management, or task management experience.
  • Experience with the TDEC regulatory programs including Division of Land Protection – formerly Division of Solid Waste Management and Division of Remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple environmental and geologic projects, maintaining scope, schedule, budget, quality objectives, and client relationships effectively.
  • Lead and oversee field activities, including field documentation, subcontractor coordination, and health and safety compliance.
  • Plan and coordinate environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, and remediation activities.
  • Provide technical review and senior-level oversight of field activities, data interpretation, and conclusions.
  • Prepare, review, and approve high-quality technical reports, work plans, proposals, and regulatory submittals.
  • Apply regulatory knowledge to ensure projects meet federal, state, and local environmental requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior staff and support technical development across project teams.
  • Lead business development efforts through client engagement, proposal participation, and identification of new opportunities.
