Tradewater is a certified B Corp dedicated to combating climate change by identifying, collecting, and mitigating the release of non-CO₂ superpollutants like old refrigerants, excess halons, and methane. These actions reduce potent greenhouse gases, protect the ozone layer, and generate carbon credits to fund and expand their mission. Their projects also create social and economic value for local communities. Targeting superpollutants is presented as a fast and cost-effective climate strategy, as these gases are exponentially more potent than CO₂ and drive a significant portion of human-caused warming. Since 2012, Tradewater has prevented over 10.6 million tons of CO₂ equivalent from entering the atmosphere and aims to prevent at least 30 million tons by 2030. The Environmental Project Associate role is part of the U.S. Halocarbon team and involves traveling to support refrigerant collection across the United States. The role requires 30-50% travel, with the remainder spent planning collection trips, supporting the sourcing team, and handling inbound calls for Small Scale Aggregation (SSA) efforts. This is a remote position with travel requirements, and candidates should be located near a major airport, with preferred locations including Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, or Chicago. Applications are accepted through September 15, 2026, and a cover letter detailing interest and experience is required.
