As an Environmental Professional, you will primarily support to project work for a very large oil/gas client located in Colorado. This position will involve have a combination of field and /office work. It is fast-paced, technical in nature, and involves regulatory understanding and compliance. The compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $100,000, in addition to an annual bonus (up to 8%), commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 3–7+ years of related environmental experience.
  • Experience with soil and groundwater sampling and drilling oversight.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening.
  • 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER (current 8‑hour refresher).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or similar tools.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to perform outdoor field work, lift up to 50 lbs., and travel locally with occasional overnight stays.

Nice To Haves

  • PG or PE license
  • Experience with groundwater fate and transport modeling
  • Familiarity with Colorado ECMC regulation

Responsibilities

  • Perform geological and environmental analyses including feasibility studies, site investigations, conceptual site models, risk‑based evaluations, and technical report preparation.
  • Manage multiple project tasks simultaneously; serve as a field lead on select projects and oversee technicians and staff.
  • Lead and support environmental field activities, including soil and groundwater sampling, subsurface investigations, and data collection.
  • Oversee drilling subcontractors, maintain accurate boring logs, and support proper monitoring well design and installation.
  • Develops professional project deliverables, including reports, assessments, plans, data summaries, figures, tables, and graphical presentations.
  • Apply relevant regulatory standards and technical guidance to project work.
  • Track project hours and manage time effectively to meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
  • Communicate proactively with project managers regarding schedule, budget, or technical challenges.
  • Interface with clients to provide project updates and support client needs.
  • Assist with cost proposal development and scope definition based on project requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Follow company safety programs and OSHA regulations; participate in required safety training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
