Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Planner Intern/Co-op to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting team in Markham, Ontario for a 4- or 8-month co-op term or Professional Experience Year (PEY) beginning in January 2027. This position offers an exciting opportunity for students interested in environmental planning, permitting, environmental assessment, infrastructure development, and natural resource management to gain hands-on consulting experience while supporting projects across Ontario and other regions as needed. In this role, you will assist with desktop environmental reviews, environmental permitting support, project planning activities, and field data collection for a variety of infrastructure and development projects. Working alongside environmental planners, biologists, ecologists, engineers, and project managers, you will gain exposure to the environmental planning process and help support project teams delivering sustainable solutions for our clients. Projects are often fast-paced, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary, providing opportunities to develop technical, analytical, communication, and project coordination skills. This role is ideal for students looking to build a career in environmental consulting particularly in the areas of environmental planning, environmental assessment, permitting, or natural resource management.
