About The Position

The Environmental Monitoring Technician I monitors pharmaceutical manufacturing environments and utilities in compliance with cGMP and internal SOPs. The role requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage large quantities of data. This is a 100% on-site, first-shift position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with up to 15% travel to clients.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of related experience, or a bachelor's degree with 0 or more years of experience.
Strong customer service focus and excellent customer contact skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Effective oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with LIMS is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

Sample air for viable and non-viable particle counts and perform contact surface testing.
Sample and test facility gases and water, including pretreatment, USP water, and Water for Injection.
Manage sample incubation, plate reading, and reporting of results.
Complete required testing documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Escalate failures and concerns related to controlled-space environments to management.
Support the generation and revision of SOPs, writing of investigations and deviations, and preparation of data-trending reports.
Help maintain laboratory safety and cleanliness, including inventory management, waste disposal, and routine cleaning of laboratory rooms and equipment.
Perform peer review and verification of raw data.
Assist with receipt and log-in of in-process samples.
Perform additional duties as required or assigned by management.
