About The Position

Eurofins PSS is seeking an Environmental Monitoring Specialist to join their team in Lebanon, Indiana. This role involves conducting environmental monitoring sampling, performing utility and water system sampling, and supporting performance qualifications. The specialist will be responsible for accurate data entry, maintaining inspection-readiness, and ensuring data integrity. The position also includes executing equipment calibration, troubleshooting lab equipment, and adhering to cGMP requirements. The role emphasizes safety, team culture, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field - Microbiology majors preferred
  • Experience with aseptic technique
  • Experience with streak plating
  • Experience with colony counting
  • Experience with endotoxin testing
  • Experience with bioburden testing
  • Experience with microbial identification
  • Experience with surface or air sampling
  • Experience with cleanroom monitoring
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Strong computer, lab, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and follow procedures
  • Quick learner with strong record-keeping accuracy

  • Industry environmental Monitoring experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental monitoring sampling (viable, non-viable, surface & personnel) across manufacturing and support areas
  • Perform utility sampling on compressed gas systems (including viability, oil content, dew point, and purity)
  • Collect and test water system samples
  • Support performance qualifications (PQ) for environmental, utility, and water system
  • Complete accurate data entry and review in line with GMP and lab standards
  • Perform second person verification (SPV) when required
  • Help ensure data integrity across all electronic systems
  • Maintain inspection-readiness at all times
  • Execute routine equipment calibration, qualification, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot lab equipment and methods as needed
  • Assist with training team members
  • Follow cGMP requirements and identify/report non-conformances
  • Recognize deviations and support investigations
  • Notify management when necessary based on procedures
  • Contribute to Lean / continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work safely and support all HSE goals
  • Help maintain a safe, compliant lab environment
  • Proactively identify and share ideas to improve daily work
