The Environmental Monitor / Coordinator is a key intermediate role within Connexa Group's Environmental Division, responsible for environmental monitoring and coordination on construction, mining, hydro, and pipeline projects. This role also participates as a Resource Specialist in biophysical assessment, wildlife, and fisheries work, acting as Field Lead as required, and provides mentorship to junior field staff. The work involves a hybrid office (30%) / field (70%) environment, with field shifts typically lasting 2–10 days, requiring overnight stays in hotels or camps. Projects are generally located in Central or Southern Alberta, with potential travel elsewhere in Western Canada. The role requires leading environmental monitoring activities, liaising with contractors and clients to ensure compliance, participating in biophysical assessments, and providing mentorship to junior staff. Candidates must be prepared to work in remote locations and challenging conditions, and be able to carry field equipment up to 30 lbs.
