About The Position

We are looking for someone who can confidently navigate complex environmental regulations, partner across multiple locations, and help drive a culture of compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in strengthening our environmental programs while helping us achieve our long-term business and sustainability goals! In this role, you will lead environmental compliance programs across multiple facilities. You will improve these programs and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will also serve as a trusted resource on environmental regulations and guidelines. We will rely on your expertise to identify risks, implement effective compliance solutions, support sustainability initiatives, and ensure our environmental management systems continue to evolve and improve. Together, we will foster a safer, more balanced future while maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and international environmental requirements.

Requirements

A completed high school education or GED is required.
Recognized environmental subject matter expert with a deep understanding of federal, state, local, and international environmental regulations and their application in manufacturing operations.
Strong experience managing and maintaining initiatives focused on environmental regulatory conformity, including Hazardous Waste (RCRA), Air Quality (CAA), Hazardous Materials, SPCC, SWPPP, and related regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to partner with senior leadership on environmental strategy, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and long-term environmental planning.
Experience overseeing environmental permits, regulatory reporting, agency inspections, and interactions with organizations such as EPA, DTSC, CalEPA, AQMD, CUPA, and similar regulatory authorities.
Advanced knowledge of ISO 14001 frameworks for managing environmental performance, including auditing, corrective actions, compliance assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to interpret intricate environmental laws, assess business impacts, and provide practical mentorship to Operations, Engineering, Legal, and site leadership teams.
Experience evaluating environmental impacts associated with raw materials, chemicals, manufacturing processes, facility expansions, and changes to ensure ongoing compliance and environmental stewardship.
Strong project management, technical writing, communication, and collaborator management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive environmental excellence throughout various sites.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental reporting platforms such as EPA e-Submit, TRI-ME, and CERS.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
