About The Position

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join our business at our Calvert City, KY plant. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Environmental function. This position will report to EHSS Manager. We love new ideas and innovation, continual improvement – bring yours to the table. Travel Responsibilities – You will get to see the world (or just the US) and meet your colleagues < 10% of the time. Not an entry level position – we need a candidate to hit the ground running with solid experience and a background to prove it. Not a box ticking role, we want to live our processes and procedures. Requirements

  • BS in a science or engineering related field
  • 10+ years in Environmental and EHS related field, in a manufacturing environment
  • Kentucky Wastewater Operator Level 3, or be able to obtain in reasonable amount of time
  • Working knowledge in: RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, KY regulations. TRI, SARA reporting
  • Experience with regulatory and community agencies
  • Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times
  • The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different
