About The Position

Supervise and assist in delivering quality environmental services during an assigned eight (8) hour shift.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
  • Two years experience in custodial work, with supervisory knowledge.
  • Must have a valid Florida Drivers License.
  • Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in custodial work.
  • Physical agility required to performing assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes and supervises the work of subordinates in a manner conductive to full performance.
  • Supervise the productivity of all Environmental staff.
  • Ensures that all equipment is clean and in good repair.
  • Provides all supplies and equipment needed for employees to accomplish required work.
  • Performs periodic spot checks to ensure vents, high ledges, ceiling, light fixtures and high ledges are being properly clean.
  • Coordination of all inventory management, storage management, and housekeeping.
  • Implement training of environmental workers in accordance with the organization’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Evaluation of supply and maintenance practices employed at the user level.
  • Maintains continuous liaison with all affected programs and activities.
  • Performs duties of an Environmental Worker as assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsibly follows the Health Center Exposure Control Plans / Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, procedures, and correct use of protective barrier equipment.
  • Completes work assignments on a time/readily accepts assignments, as observed by the supervisor.
  • Adheres to Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations.
  • Reports to work on time and ready to work with minimal absenteeism.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
