A Day in the Life As a Technician , you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals. The hourly compensation range for this role is $18.00 to $22.00 , commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Schedule: Monday - Friday

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of general lab practices and lab safety
  • Able to multi-task and communicate effectively (both oral and written)
  • Able to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Well organized and have an attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualifications preferred
  • Some lab experience is preferred but not required as this is an entry level position

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of samples for analysis
  • Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
  • Sample extractions
  • Determining the volume of samples
  • Cleaning of laboratory glassware
  • Maintaining clean laboratory areas
  • Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
  • Courier supplies to and/or samples from client sites
  • Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
  • Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
  • Dispose of laboratory waste in a safe manner following prescribed procedures
  • Comply with Quality Assurance Program and other policies
  • Comply with Health and Safety Plan
  • Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
