We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst II to support trace metals analysis in our environmental laboratory located in Reading, PA. In this role, you will support laboratory operations by performing sample preparation, analysis, and quality control testing in accordance with established methods and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for accurately documenting results, reviewing data for quality and consistency, and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure reliable performance. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on lab work, working in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to accurate, defensible data that supports environmental compliance and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and LIMS systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ICP, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, digestion, titration, and mercury analysis is strongly preferred, with proficiency in at least one required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sample preparation, analysis, and quality control testing in accordance with SOPs, approved methods, and regulatory standards
  • Accurately document work and enter results into LIMS
  • Review and evaluate data for accuracy and consistency; flag and escalate any discrepancies
  • Perform analytical calculations and prepare reports as needed
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentation
  • Support quality initiatives, including audits, corrective actions, and SOP updates
  • Follow all GLP standards and company safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab environment (glassware, inventory, supplies)
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and workload demands
  • Provide client support as needed, including phone inquiries and sample intake
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
