About The Position

The Environmental Lab Technician role involves collecting various samples, performing tests, maintaining laboratory instruments, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. This position requires adherence to aseptic protocols and accurate data logging. The technician will work closely with production teams to address any issues and contribute to food safety projects. The role is full-time and on-site in San Marcos.

Requirements

English language proficiency required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Previous lab experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Collect line samples, raw and pasteurized milk samples received and produced daily for testing.
Collect allergen rinse water when it's milk to juice day.
Use ATP swabs for daily sanitation verifications.
Collect environmental swab samples on a quarterly basis for micro testing.
Collect and prep swabs or finished product samples to ship to our certified lab for micro testing.
Conduct and complete daily pre-operational logs.
Work and communicate corrective actions to production supervisors to complete.
Participate in monthly and yearly internal audits of the production facility.
Collect wastewater samples and complete necessary paperwork to comply with regulations.
Collect and check production batch records to verify specifications and traceability.
Keep up with lab inventory supplies.
Keep track of environmental swab trend analysis.
Assist in food safety and quality projects.
Work with and maintain laboratory instruments and log data onto the computer.
Maintain a clean/sanitary/safe work area.
Prompt and regular attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
