The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) seeks applicants for an Environmental Justice Intern (Unpaid Contracted Student Interns) for the 2026 Fall Semester to perform duties on a part-time basis. This internship is unpaid and designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Interns may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university. The candidate will work with DCR's Senior Director of Environmental Justice to learn about the agency’s strategies and identify a project to work on related to environmental justice (EJ), language access, and/or public involvement. Potential projects may include streamlining how DCR offers document translation and language interpretation services, developing training resources for internal staff, assisting in the update of strategy documents, and tracking EJ related program implementation.
