About The Position

As an Environmental Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in the Indianapolis, Indiana office, you will work with environmental professionals and gain experience in environmental consulting. CEC's service areas include environmental investigations and remediation, environmental compliance, hydrogeology, and environmental due diligence. Interns work under experienced personnel, performing field sampling and observations, managing and evaluating data in the office, and supporting report preparation. Through CEC's Internship Program, you will apply knowledge from college coursework, learn from industry experts, collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations, build a professional network through social events and interactive activities, work with a discipline mentor on real-world challenges, participate in workplace interpersonal-skills workshops, and collaborate with Cultural Resources, Ecological, and Civil Engineering practices.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Geology, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering program.
Must be legally authorized to work for CEC in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Prior internship and/or design experience.
Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform field sampling and observations under the direction of experienced personnel.
