About The Position

Indorama Ventures is looking for an Environmental Science Intern for Summer 2025. This internship is designed for full-time students at accredited four-year colleges or universities, running from May to August. The program aims to equip interns with skills and experience for a successful career. Requirements

  • Must be a full-time college student at the Junior or Senior level by the end of Spring 2025.
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and/or Chemical Engineering.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require work authorization sponsorship.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card.
  • Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
  • Knowledge of the basic principles and methods used in chemical plant manufacturing and analyses.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to build relationships across all organizational lines.
  • Able to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Must be willing to commit to the summer program for the entire 10-week program.

Responsibilities

  • Give a project assignments presentation to the Site Leadership Team at the end of the internship.
  • Review past and current environmental events to ensure all necessary data and information has been collected.
  • Work with several databases that require data entry.
  • Work with Environmental Department and Health and Safety Department on daily tasks.
  • Perform assigned regulatory tasks associated with the site waste and water systems, including data collection and entry.
  • Attend project team meetings and report project status updates.
  • Present a report on the status of investigations and other work completed during the internship.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate procedures and guidelines.
  • Complete annual required training on-time.
  • Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Assist other employees in accomplishing Indorama company goals.
  • Follow instructions and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives.
  • Participate in and complete company-required training programs.
