Requirements
- A two-year technical diploma in a related field (e.g., biology, agrology or forestry), supplemented by two (2) years of progressively responsible, related experience.
- A valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with environmental specifications, field surveys and technical report writing.
Responsibilities
- Support the Environmental Standards Specialist in the development of specifications/guidance documents.
- Work with the environmental specialists and provide regulatory support during all stages of the project.
- Assist in the review of technical reports and environmental site assessments.
- Develop scope of environmental work and assess cost effective remediation/mitigation alternatives.
- Support all staff in the digitization of environmental and aggregates records.
- Identify through the review of project reports, environmental issues that will require permits such as DFO permitting, Navigable waters and wetland compensation issues.
- Review and provide advice for Environmental Management Plans.
- Review and provide advice on policies under development.
