Requirements

Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in geology, environmental engineering, environmental management, environmental science, biology, or other related degree
Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.).

Have previous related internship experience
Are currently enrolled as an undergraduate junior
Have a basic understanding of construction and generally accepted business practices
Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills and show initiative and leadership
Showcase a positive and professional attitude and solid customer service skills
Are detail-oriented, organized, and can effectively handle multiple competing priorities

Responsibilities

Assist with supporting Mortenson’s environmental management efforts by providing review of environmental documentation and advising on environmental matters in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
Support project management team in developing and executing site specific environmental plans and activities
Participate in and contribute to project planning and environmental risk analysis
Assist with implementation of policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations
Assist with onsite best management practices for environmental management
Document and report environnemental violations, non-compliance conditions, etc.
Other duties as assigned
