Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in geology, environmental engineering, environmental management, environmental science, biology, or other related degree
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.).

  • Are currently enrolled as an undergraduate junior
  • Have a basic understanding of construction and generally accepted business practices
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills and show initiative and leadership

  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and can effectively handle multiple competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Assist with supporting Mortenson’s environmental management efforts by providing review of environmental documentation and advising on environmental matters in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Support project management team in developing and executing site specific environmental plans and activities
  • Participate in and contribute to project planning and environmental risk analysis
  • Assist with implementation of policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations
  • Assist with onsite best management practices for environmental management
  • Document and report environnemental violations, non-compliance conditions, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
