About The Position

Heroux-Devtek is seeking an Environmental Intern for Autumn 2026. This role will involve assisting in the maintenance and improvement of processes for monitoring EHS performance indicators such as GHG, waste, and water consumption. The intern will also help prepare and communicate best practices in environmental management and health and safety to enhance the company's performance, with a focus on integrating solutions into business processes. Additionally, the intern will contribute to creating awareness materials for all staff and targeted training materials for those responsible for environmental, health, and safety files at various sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Studies
  • Complete assigned tasks and mandates with diligence, professionalism, autonomy, and proactivity
  • Respect the confidentiality of data and other information belonging to Héroux Devtek
  • Adhere to the standards in effect at the internship site
  • Demonstrate openness, active listening, and self-reflection
  • Creativity and the ability to simplify complex information to effectively communicate important messages
  • Knowledge of English due to the communications needed with our various suppliers, clients, auditors, and other subsidiaries of the organization that are international.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and improving processes for monitoring EHS performance indicators (GHG, waste, water consumption, incident management).
  • Prepare and communicate best practices in environmental management and health and safety to improve Héroux Devtek's performance, with a particular focus on solutions integrated into business processes.
  • Participate in creating awareness materials for all staff.
  • Develop targeted training materials for those responsible for environmental, health and safety files at the sites.
