About The Position

The Environmental Inspector 2 (EI2) builds on the foundational responsibilities of an Environmental Inspector 1 by taking on increased oversight, project management, and client-facing duties. In addition to conducting field inspections and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, the EI2 performs quality control of deliverables, participates in pre‐construction meetings, and serves as a field manager on complex projects. This role also supports business development efforts and pursues advanced certifications (e.g., CESSWI). EI2 Accountability Phase 1: QC of Client Deliverables Pre‐Construction Meetings Wetland/Stream Open Cut Planning Field Manager for Complex Projects Continue Training Support for EI 1 Phase 2: Project‐Specific Oversight / Project Management Abilities Assist Operations with Business Development & New Projects Obtain CESSWI Certification

Requirements

  • Education: Associate’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, or related field
  • Experience: 1–2 years environmental inspection and field work

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, or related field
  • Experience: 2-4 years environmental inspection or fieldwork and/or strong document QA/QC, project oversight, wetland/stream experience, pursuit of CESSWI certification
