As an Environmental Health Specialist supporting NASA Kennedy Space Center, you'll perform hands-on industrial hygiene fieldwork across launch facilities, laboratories, industrial shops, and operational environments while building a career in one of the nation's most prestigious mission-driven programs. Under the guidance of the Environmental Health Supervisor, the Environmental Health Specialist will perform duties within the field of Industrial Hygiene to support the Environmental Health Program at NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) and Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB). This position performs field work for various types of industrial hygiene surveys under the direction of Industrial Hygienists. The position involves the use and operation of various types of industrial hygiene (IH) instruments such as sound level meters, velometers, integrated air sampling equipment in addition to writing technical reports. This position is represented by the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW).
