About The Position
This position maintains and enforces the Code of Maryland Regulations and county ordinances for food service facilities, public swimming pools, exotic birds/pet stores, and tattoo/piercing shops while performing duties in the Food and Community Protection Program.
Requirements
- One year of experience performing inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with environmental health laws and regulations.
- Must possess and maintain a current license as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist from the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists.
- May be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with Environmental Health programs such as Well & Septic, Food and Community Protection, Transient Water, Rabies and Plan Review
- Experience conducting field inspections and working with contractors and business owners
