The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana. This position is assigned to the Section of Environmental Epidemiology and Toxicology's (SEET), Occupational Health and Injury (Occ Health) Program within the Bureau of Infectious Diseases in the Office of Public Health (OPH). The Occ Health Program is hiring an Environmental Health Scientist I, Environmental Health Scientist II, or an Environmental Health Scientist Coordinator to track and investigate risks associated with heavy metals, carbon monoxide, pesticides, and environmental spills. This position is essential in ensuring workplace and community safety through data analysis, case investigations, and public outreach.
