About The Position
Develop, implement and oversee environmental health and safety programs and procedures and ensure compliance with government laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Typically 4+ years relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with all government laws and regulations relating to environmental safety.
- Develops and administers policies, procedures and training programs relating to hazardous material handling and industrial safety
- Facilitates and collaborates with multifunction team members for health promotion activities for prevention of occupational injuries and epidemic disease.
- Responsible for emergency medical services to help employees reduce physical injuries.
- Ensures all health and safety procedures are aligned with local laws.
- Supports well-being activities and other preventative health care programs.
- Oversee and establish inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment.
- May have responsibility for company's workers' compensation program.
- Serves as point of contact for external agencies including emergency response personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
