About The Position

The Office of Environmental Health & Safety at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist I for Boca Raton, FL. The primary duties of the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist I (EH&S) position are in support of the EH&S fire safety program, including but not limited to liaison to State Fire Marshal and coordination of SFM inspections of facilities and construction sites, responding to fire alarms, and coordinating corrective actions for fire safety deficiencies.

Requirements

A high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience required.
Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Responsibilities

Support EH&S operations.
Record keeping.
Training.
Equipment and vehicle maintenance.
Maintain EH&S facilities.
Perform any special projects or job-related duties as assigned.
