About The Position

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician supports the organization’s efforts to maintain a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role plays a key part in daily EHS operations, including regulatory compliance, safety inspections, environmental monitoring, training support, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Technician works closely with the EHS Manager and cross‑functional teams to strengthen the company’s safety culture and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Engineering or related field
  • Foundational knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and related compliance standards
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and perform basic measurements and calculations

  • ISO 1400 training
  • DOT, RCRA, Hazmat training
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools or reporting software

Responsibilities

  • Standardize and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist EHS manager as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, TDEC, etc.).
  • Update and maintain compliance calendars.
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and job‑specific safety evaluations.
  • Support incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
  • Collect, analyze, and report safety and environmental performance data.
  • Prepare training materials, assist with hands‑on instruction, and maintain training records.
  • Maintain EHS logs, permits, inspection records, and audit documentation.
  • Assist with waste management, recycling programs, emissions tracking, and spill prevention.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to promote a proactive safety culture.
