About The Position

The EHS Generalist will support day-to-day regulatory compliance, hazard controls, and site safety operations. This role focuses on high-risk safety programs—including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and Respiratory Protection—while auditing, updating, and writing technical EHS documentation to maintain Cal/OSHA compliance. Experience with hazardous waste management preferred. It is desired to possess the ability to be present/support the night shift or transition in the morning or evenings when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health or similar.
  • CSP or CIH (or in the process of obtaining).
  • Training or certifications in DTSC, DOT, RCRA, BAAQMD, CUPA, HazWoper, Emergency Response, First Aid/CPR/AED, etc.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, tech-hardware, chemical, or foundry environment.
  • Deep hands-on experience with LOTO procedures, permit-required confined spaces, and respiratory protection standards.
  • Demonstrated strength in reviewing, drafting, and improving EHS policies, JHAs, and SOPs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to drive a proactive safety culture across shift teams and site leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and audit Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and Respiratory Protection programs (including fit testing and cartridge selection).
  • Conduct thorough reviews of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Lead continuous hazard identification walks, compliance audits, and incident investigations across manufacturing and R&D operations.
  • Deliver site-specific EHS training modules to employees and contractors on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain records to ensure full compliance with local, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and regional environmental regulations.
