Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Generalist
About The Position
Diamond Foundry Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Generalist to support day-to-day regulatory compliance, hazard controls, and site safety operations. This role will focus on high-risk safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and Respiratory Protection. The Generalist will also be responsible for auditing, updating, and writing technical EHS documentation to ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations. Experience with hazardous waste management is preferred. The role may require availability to support night shifts or transition during morning or evening hours as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, occupational health or similar.
- CSP or CIH (or in the process of obtaining).
- Training or certifications in DTSC, DOT, RCRA, BAAQMD, CUPA, HazWoper, Emergency Response, First Aid/CPR/AED, etc.
- 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, tech-hardware, chemical, or foundry environment.
- Deep hands-on experience with LOTO procedures, permit-required confined spaces, and respiratory protection standards.
- Demonstrated strength in reviewing, drafting, and improving EHS policies, JHAs, and SOPs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to drive a proactive safety culture across shift teams and site leadership.

Responsibilities
- Manage and audit Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and Respiratory Protection programs (including fit testing and cartridge selection).
- Conduct thorough reviews of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Lead continuous hazard identification walks, compliance audits, and incident investigations across manufacturing and R&D operations.
- Deliver site-specific EHS training modules to employees and contractors on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain records to ensure full compliance with local, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and regional environmental regulations.
