About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior EHS Advisor to join our team in managing EHS functions for the LUS Group. The Senior EHS Advisor should have a strong background in environmental regulations, workplace safety protocols, and risk management strategies. This position will be responsible for and coordinate with other Liebherr companies to review, evaluate, and analyze various EHS programs. They will be responsible for enforcing adherence to and compliance with laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals to meet company and Federal and State regulatory requirements. In addition, this position will be involved in the management and administration of fleet services for the Company’s vehicles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and guidance to divisional Safety representatives, management and employees.
  • Serve as point of contact for all regulatory agencies, insurance brokers, and incident reporting
  • Investigate and report accidents to identify root causes to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
  • Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
  • Advise Leadership and employees regarding health or safety issues.
  • Inspects and audits the organization's procedures, facilities, and equipment to ensure regulatory compliance, proactively identify unsafe conditions, and implement safeguards and solutions.
  • Develop or maintain hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, or asbestos management plans.
  • Design public or employee health programs.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation and reporting in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Preemptively identifies environmental concerns and hazards and develops corrective actions.
  • Conduct and support company safety training and educational programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
  • Monitors and tracks safety metrics to evaluate program performance and prepares routine reports for management insight.
  • Investigate health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers or physicians to institute control or remedial measures for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions or equipment.
  • Provide new-employee health and safety orientations and online training programs and develop materials for these presentations.
  • Coordinate "right-to-know" programs regarding hazardous chemicals or other substances.
  • Oversee and maintain long term EHS programs, the Vehicle Safety program, Worker’s Compensation, and OSHA programs.
  • Assists in administrating and coordinating motor vehicle fleet operations.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records of vehicles, insurance, and required regulatory filings and reporting.
  • Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling that support fleet vehicle availability requirements.
  • Monitor and administer fleet management system for driver compliance.
  • Work with divisional fleet administrators to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local DOT rules and regulations.
  • Coordinates and assists Purchasing and Finance with the acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
