About The Position

Tuuci is seeking a skilled and motivated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our Safety team on a full-time temporary basis for an anticipated duration of 4–5 months. This is a hands-on, impactful role within a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a safety-minded professional who can hit the ground running, work independently, and make meaningful contributions to our EHS programs from day one.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field required.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and environmental health principles, with the ability to apply them in a manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of common workplace hazards, risk assessment, and safe work practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ergonomic principles and human factors preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the development and promotion of a strong safety culture by leading safety compliance initiatives and awareness campaigns throughout the facility.
  • Ensure that safety policies, programs, and training materials are aligned with Federal, State, and local regulations, and identify gaps requiring corrective action.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and deliver safety training sessions covering emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks; document findings and drive timely corrective actions.
  • Lead and support accident investigations in collaboration with manufacturing teams to determine root causes, contributing factors, and preventive measures.
  • Monitor employee compliance with safety procedures and policies; communicate findings and recommendations to the EHS team and site leadership.
  • Partner with the HR department and Manufacturing Leaders on administrative functions related to the Workers' Compensation program, including documentation, case tracking, and return-to-work coordination for injured employees.
  • Maintain and update OSHA 300 Log documentation and ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current, accurate, and readily accessible.
  • Contribute to special EHS projects and initiatives as assigned, delivering results within established timelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
