About The Position
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Student will support the EHS Team in implementing and overseeing EPRI’s EHS program, policies, and initiatives. The EHS Student will be responsible for providing support for EPRI’s Chemical Control and Hazardous Waste Programs, including assisting sites with chemical storage and SDS management, supporting EPRI’s EHS webpage, and supporting the EHS team, programs, and initiatives including the site Emergency Response Teams and Corporate Safety Committee.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a masters degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or Natural Sciences (preferred) or a rising junior/senior
- Exhibits high initiative
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be able to work out of the EPRI Charlotte Office
- Ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
Nice To Haves
- Familiar with OSHA standards or EPA regulations
- Experience with safety guidelines
