About The Position
This position is for a Student Hourly role in the Environmental Health and Safety department. The student assistant will help with various tasks related to campus safety and chemical inventory management. This role offers an hourly wage of $13.00.
Requirements
- Major in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
- Knowledge of chemicals/safety when handling chemicals
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment
- Experience in a laboratory setting
- Ability to work with Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities
- Assist with taking and compiling a physical inventory of all laboratory chemicals on campus
- Utilizing ChemManager+ software
- Conducting Safety Eyewash and Shower Activations
- Other duties related to environmental health and safety as assigned
